Drum Machines Make Holes in your Soul

This FiloVision mix is for those of you who have a hole in your soul because you don't appreciate metronome maestros. There is still a chance for you to find sequenced salvation. I saw one of John Wood's "Drum Machines Have No Soul" bumper stickers displayed in full sincerity on a Volvo driving through the North End. Probably the driver is a luthier. No offense to my hick music friends. Or maybe the Volvo driver really was John!

I'm glad my soundcard was acting up and glitched the mixing to death. See, that's authentic. Do not fear precision or irregularity. Bring on the soul drilling, crusty beatz.

Ursula 1000 - Rocket (Mike Dextro Remix)
Matthew Dear - Little People (Black City)
Trentemoller - Vamp
Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life
Mexican Institute of Sound - Comite Culificador
Ricardo Villalobos - Senior Coconut, ElectroLatino ('lectrolatino Carino Mix)
Plastikman - Spastik
The Field - Over the Ice
El Rincon - Todos a Bailar
Dam-Funk - 10 West
Solvent - Caught a Glimpse

Coronal Mass Ejection

So was your cell phone or GPS coverage hampered by the solar wind storm that hit last week? Did you see the Northern Lights? Me neither. I went out looking for evidence and saw a few meteors. Tonight there should be a few stragglers. Last night was supposed to be the main swarm of Perseid meteors. I did notice how glorious the sun was today after that little cold front. Let's all go out and bask tomorrow in the 100 degree heat for one last hurrah before the "touch of fall" descends on us.

Here's some Sun songs for ya'!

Emeralds - Geodes
Oneohtrix Point Never - Zones Without People
Kenny Graham and his Satellites - Tropical Sun
El Guincho - Bombay
Christopher Willits - Sunlight is You
Cuchata - Asuncion
Tadoma - Reconstruction
Oriol - Night and Day
Uffie - Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans
Sergio Mendes - Waters of March (les eaux de mars) Zap Mama, Paul Harris
Chris Joss - Highway 75
